Reflection V

After that lesson, we knew that we have to come in after school to finish up for sure because the project was due on the next day. Me, June, and Paan came in that Thursday evening and we kept on painting and fixing. When we first went in the art room, we were all shocked because what we saw was that all the fins cracked again, and even worse than the last time. June suggested that we need to take action so we all decided to get the newspaper and tear them. We put the newspaper strips in glue and then put the strips on the fin where it cracked. This would help make the fin smoother because newspaper would smoothen the whole fin. Everything would be on the same layer and flat. From doing that, instead of making progress, it made us fall behind even more. China came in after she finished drama club, and she was also shocked that we had to put newspaper strips all over the fin. But we still kept on going. We got the two hair dryers to dry the fins and then paint them with dark blue. Then we dry the fins and continue painting the body with light blue and white. We finished quite late that day but we painted everything and finished the whole fish except for the eyes.

The next morning, we came in early again and paint the eyes. When the eyes dried, we sprayed clear lacquer on the whole body to make it shiny and that was when we were finally finished with our sailfish (and it was on time!!)
